The Town of Spring City has a vacancy for a Laborer Position in the Public Works Department.  Individual must be able to bend, twist, stoop, lift heavy objects weighing more than 25 pounds, and have the general knowledge of plumbing, lawn mowers, weed-eaters, and vehicle maintenance. Additional knowledge in the operation of heavy equipment preferred.  Must be able to pass a drug test and have a valid motor vehicle license.  Must be able to read and follow directions, have the ability to work independently without direct supervision, and solve problems with minimal assistance.  After 90-day probationary period, starting salary $38,777 with full benefits to include Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System (TCRS), employer paid health insurance (for the employee) along with an HRA, overtime pay, 13 paid holidays per year, and vacation, sick, and longevity pay.

THE TOWN OF SPRING CITY is accepting applications for a full-time Certified Police Officer – Patrolman. Applicants must have attended and completed a P.O.S.T. approved law enforcement training academy or currently attending one. Have a high school diploma or GED, and a valid TN driver’s license. A criminal background check and drug test will be performed prior to employment. Starting salary $44,383 with full benefits to include Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System (TCRS), employer paid health insurance (for the employee) along with an HRA, overtime pay, 13 paid holidays, vacation pay, sick pay, longevity pay, a take home patrol car, if you reside within Rhea County, and shifts with every other weekend off.
