The Town of Spring City is currently accepting applications for Court Clerk. The Court Clerk is responsible for performing the duties of the Clerk of the Municipal Court, in compliance with state regulations, as directed by the City Attorney and the Municipal Court Judge. The Court Clerk receives payments on fines, enters and dockets citations for infractions and non-traffic misdemeanors, organizes court calendar, prepares court docket, and attends court sessions. Must be willing to obtain designation as a Certified Reporting Agency Coordinator under TIBRS. The Court Clerk position requires special attention to detail along with working knowledge of modern office equipment and computer software as well as have excellent customer service. This is a full-time hourly position. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Tennessee driver’s license. Requires 2+ years’ experience in a professional office environment. Preference will be given to candidates with legal experience, such as with the courts, police department, or law office and Local Government software experience.
