Spring City Chamber of Commerce will present our 53rd Annual Christmas Parade, “There is a Song in the Air”, on December 10th beginning at 6:00pm. Vendors will be set up on the Depot Lawn from 9:00am-4:00pm. Caroling and hot chocolate will be available in front of the Depot in the afternoon and the lighting of the Depot will begin at 5:30pm. Vendor spaces are available for $20 and $25 for food vendors. The entry fee to have a float in the parade is $20. Applications for vendors or the parade are available at the Chamber office or on the website www.springcitychamberofcom
With this being a night parade this year, the Chamber and the city are taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of not only the parade participants but also those that are coming to watch the parade. Below is a link to a map of the parade route. This year the parade will be lined up single file. Therefore, we will be utilizing Pierce Street and West Rhea Ave, along with Clinton Ave. to line up the parade.
With the residents who live along the parade route in mind, please do not line up before 3 PM Saturday afternoon if you are a parade participant. We do not want to inconvenience and possibly block those trying to get to and from their residence. Also, you will need to be at your place in the parade route by 5:30 PM.
No one will be allowed come the opposite direction of the parade route to find their spot in the parade. Therefore, all parade participants will all be directed to enter from the West Rhea Ave. side to find their place in line.
Parade participants can come by the Depot Saturday morning to pick up their packet of information as well as their number in the lineup. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Chamber office at (423) 365-5210.
